About Our Pastries
We are very proud of our baking at Victoria Station Cafe. Pretty much everything is home made, from scratch, in our kitchen. Christina and I share the responsibility of creating all the amazing confections you find in our pastry case - the cakes, the cookies, the cannolis, and everything in between. Christina makes most of the fancy stuff, like the Tiramisu, the Bismarcks, and the most amazing scones ever! I handle most of the lunch type stuff - the quiche, spinach pie, chicken pie, and pretty much whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. I also make a pretty decent pumpkin roll, too...and did I mention Apple Crisp? At the end of the day, though, it's a complete team effort, and we work extremely hard to make sure everything is perfect for you!
We are also very blessed to have Christina's parents helping out in the kitchen. Tony & Cynthia have been making the biscotti & pizzelles from their family recipe every week since day one, and are never short of great advice. It is a simple yet undeniable fact that the cafe simply would not exist without them.
Last but not least, our daughters Sabrina & Adriana also pitch in to help out with our home-made dog biscuits for the Bow-Wow Dog Biscuit Company! Suffice to say, we are still very much a family run cafe, and it is very much a team effort.
